A little about Daria

Nepal came into my life unexpectedly. I started dreaming about mountains, receiving signs, and I felt it was time to go. I arrived without preparation — and the very next day I was already on the trail. Since then, the Himalayas have become my home, and I moved to Nepal to be closer to them — or more precisely, to her — Annapurna.
Among all the eight-thousanders, Annapurna is my special one, my favorite. She has always attracted me more than the others. I feel a unique connection with her — I believe she also chose me for a reason. My first ascent will definitely be to her.

By education, I am an Orientalist. I am deeply drawn to cosmology, symbolism, religious traditions, and ancient legends. During expeditions, I share these insights through stories and observations so that you can feel the depth of local culture, mythology, and mysticism
.

I am a Sagittarius. I speak Russian, English, and Chinese, I write music in the melodic techno genre, and I do photography, capturing the most vivid moments of expeditions. I also run a YouTube blog where I talk about the country, its people, their lives, and religions, so you can see Nepal through the eyes of someone who truly lives in this space.

If you join me on a journey, you will not just follow a route — you will feel Nepal, its strength, atmosphere, and depth. I want to show you this country through my own perception. With me, you will not stay the same — I will change something within you.
A little about Ashray

I was born in Nepal, and for us, mountains feel like something ordinary — they are everywhere, surrounding every home. But honestly, I never thought I would end up on high mountain trails myself. It happened unexpectedly: life turned in a way that I started working in tourism, and gradually began trekking in the mountains… and I fell in love.
Manaslu became my favorite peak from the very first sight. I have already been to Everest Base Camp, trekked the trails of Mardi Himal, explored Manaslu, and discovered the true magic of the Himalayas. You see, for us it may be a familiar landscape, but when you walk these trails step by step, it becomes an entirely different feeling.

I am 25 years old, and I have worked with international groups from Sweden, Australia, Israel, and Germany. I know how to make a trek safe and exciting — how to guide people through every pass, valley, and village so they can truly feel the spirit of Nepal.

Music has always been part of my life. I used to have a rock band and played guitar, but my friends moved to different cities. Now I take my guitar with me on expeditions, and in the camps, when the sun sets and we gather around the fire, I play for the group. The silence of the mountains, the fire, laughter, and songs create a magic that is impossible to forget.

In 2026, together with Darya, we are planning our first ascent of Mera Peak or Lobuche. It was through me that Darya discovered her love for the mountains, and now we are exploring the high Himalayas together, creating new routes and sharing this magic with others.
For me, a trek is not just a route. It is a way to show the true power and beauty of the Himalayas, to turn every step into an adventure, and to fill every evening in camp with music, laughter, and stories. If you join me, you will not just complete a trek — you will feel the mountains with your whole heart and perhaps discover something new within yourself.

(03)
Do I need physical preparation?
The treks are suitable for beginners without experience, but basic fitness is required. We recommend starting 2–3 workouts per week: running, elliptical, cycling, stair machine, or ski machine. Start with 20 minutes and gradually increase to 1–1.5 hours.
What insurance should I choose?
(04)
To participate, you must have specialized mountaineering medical insurance with the following conditions:

  • Valid for the entire duration of your stay abroad
  • No deductible (franchise)
  • Activity type: extreme sports or mountaineering (for trekking only, “trekking” is acceptable)
  • Minimum coverage: from $50,000 USD
  • Must include medical and transport expenses, as well as unlimited helicopter evacuation
  • Must be purchased and fully paid before departure from your home country
  • Must cover COVID-19 risks for the entire trip

We also recommend baggage insurance. If you need help choosing or arranging insurance, we are happy to assist.
Can I rent or buy gears in Nepal?
(05)

Kathmandu offers a wide range of gear — from budget replicas to high-quality branded equipment, so everything can be purchased locally if needed.
Important: trekking boots should be bought in advance and properly broken in before arrival.
Do bank cards work in Nepal?
(06)

Visa, MasterCard, and UnionPay cards are accepted in Nepal. They can be used in some restaurants, cafés, and shops in cities, as well as for cash withdrawal in ATMs (in Nepalese rupees).
However, most payments are still cash-based, and in mountain regions only cash is accepted.

Important: cards issued by Russian banks do not work in Nepal.
What are the accommodation conditions?
(07)
In Kathmandu, we stay in a comfortable hotel. During the trek, accommodation is in lodges (simple guesthouses). Each room has a bed, mattress, pillow, and blanket. There is no heating in the mountains, so it can get cold at night — sleeping bags are required.

Showers and toilets are usually shared. Electricity is available, but not everywhere, often in reception areas or cafés (sometimes for an extra fee).
How is food organized during the trek?
(08)
Three meals a day: breakfast, lunch, and dinner + tea/coffee.
The menu includes high-carbohydrate meals, momos, rice, potatoes, pasta, bread, pizza, local dal bhat, and desserts. Portions are large and filling, with many vegetarian options.
(09)

Is there internet during the trek?
Wi-Fi is available in lodges along the route. The speed is low — enough for messaging, but uploading photos or videos may be difficult. In bad weather, the internet may not work at all. Mobile network coverage is also unstable or unavailable in some areas.
We recommend informing family and friends in advance that you may be offline for several days.
When should I arrive and depart?
(10)
Arrival is required on the first day of the program, preferably in the first half of the day. Departure is allowed any time on the last day, but not earlier.
How to get to Kathmandu?
(11)
Most flights to Kathmandu include layovers in the Middle East: Dubai, Sharjah, Doha, or Istanbul.
Routes via New Delhi exist, but are not recommended due to visa requirements.
From the Far East, we recommend routes via China.
(16)
Water and filters
Water filters are not needed — bottled water is available in all lodges.
We recommend bringing cash in USD, EUR, or CNY. Currency exchange is widely available throughout Nepal, with exchange services offering various currencies.
What currency should I bring?
(15)
Storage of city belongings
(17)
Все вещи, которые вы не берёте с собой в горы, можно оставить в камере хранения в отеле в Катманду.
What will the weather be like during the trek?
(13)
Weather in the mountains changes several times a day, so layering is essential.
Warm conditions at lower altitudes, colder as you ascend. At higher elevations, temperatures drop significantly, so proper layering is required.
Who will meet me in Kathmandu?
(12)
We personally meet each participant at the airport exit with a name sign and the RASA Expeditions flag.
